Re: Red Cube flow sensor with Extreme EMS
Hi Rainier and thanks so much for getting back to me with some great information. I think maybe the math doesn’t add up and we are supposed to multiply and not divide. Per Electronics International, makers of the Red Cube FT 60: “ The FT-60 transducer generates a pulsed signal at 68,000 pulses per g...

Re: Red Cube flow sensor with Extreme EMS
The resister is fine. All kind of conflicting information from both companies. EI says 68000, Michigan Avionics says 18000. At 18000 I get 36 gph. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Red Cube flow sensor with Extreme EMS
Hi all. I just attached a red cube fuel flow sensor following all the protocols. One instruction I have is for a K factor of 68000. The other instruction says that’s for Liters and not gallons so the K Factor should be set at 18000. It also requires a 5k6 resistor to be jumped between the 5v on the ...

Re: MGL fuel tank sensor
Well I took everything apart and started over. Finally was able to get it programmed and appears to be working correctly.

MGL fuel tank sensor
I am using the MGL 12” fuel tank sensor with my Xtreme EMS. It worked fine when first installed but after running the engine for a bit I started getting very erratic readings from 0 to full. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Xtreme EMS
Hey JimJab I have another question please. I attempted to wire a gps source wire into pin 6 on the radio head per the manual. There was already a wire in that slot, and since the harness is tucked away, I’m not sure what it’s connected to. I tapped into that wire with the gps wire and got a “no radi...

Re: Xtreme EMS
Again thank you. Everything seems to be working fine now. I had a little trouble getting my EMS tach and stock tach to run concurrently, it was either one or the other. Finally figured out that the dip switches for RPM 1 were on, and when I turned them off it worked perfectly. I’m starting to like m...

Re: Xtreme EMS
Thank you sir. I will make the tests you have suggested and get back to you. It’s a good start. The sensor is the MGL sensor from Aircraft Spruce, $29 I believe.

Re: Xtreme EMS
Thank you Jim Jab you’ve given me lot of good info and a place to start. I got the Amp situation sorted out. The coolant temp sensor just screws into the water channel on the engine 1/8 NPT and has one post for a wire that is run to the RDAC so I’m sure that’s wired correctly although the sensor may...

Extreme EMS and temperature sensor
I have a Subaru engine and have hooked the coolant sensor to the Aux 1. It reads -27 no matter if it’s hooked up or not, and even with the engine warmed up. What am I doing wrong? I am using the MGL water temp sensor I purchased from Aircraft Spruce.
