I'm getting the same interference simply by transmitting with a handheld VHF transceiver, so I don't think the issue is due to com radio proximity / wiring. Thanks - given that I'm getting the interference even when I test with just a handheld transceiver from basically anywhere around the airplane (tested by transmitting on 123.45), I'm not sure distancing the com antenna from the VOR antenna is going to solve the problem.
