Re: SP7 leveling off in turn
thanks for the detailed reply. My iEFIS is showing correct airspeed and true airspeed as well, but I will check the double flash LED on the SP7. I will also check the mount of the SP7 or otherwise move it around and do some test flights to see if I can get any better results. Will update this topic ...

SP7 leveling off in turn
Hi, I am testing my new MGL setup and have some issues with the SP7. I couldn't find anything similar on this forum, I hope people can help me out. While testing during a test flight when I bank (+/- 30 degrees or more) the virtual horizon starts to bank but then quite quickly levels back off again ...

EFIS Audio On/Off function
Hi, I am installing my MGL (ibox + iEFIS challenger) system and trying to test as much as possible in the simulator. It seems there is a function for the digital inputs that is labeled "EFIS Audio On/Off". I am wondering if this is a "toggle" function or whether high means "audio-on" and low means "...

Re: digital input not working as expected
I found out that the active is high or low only is applicable to the function that is selected, but not to the alarm.
Apparently the alarm is only/always triggered when the digital input is high, but the function that is selected is executed depending on the active is <state> that whas choosen.

digital input not working as expected
Hi, I have a device that pulls a line to gnd which I want to trigger an alarm on the iefis using the ibox digital inputs. To test this I installed the simulator and configured the digital input and configured "Active level is low" and enabled the alarm. However, the alarm is triggered when the input...

Re: Fuel Flow Sender Jet size for Rotax 914
Thank you for the answer. I assume this is done because if the fuel flow sender was installed before the fuel regulator the reading would be less acurate/useless since it would include the flow from the fuel return line ? I think it makes sense to install it into the carb feed, however the fuel line...

Fuel Flow Sender Jet size for Rotax 914
Hi, I am installing the MGL fuel flow sender but don't know which Jet size to choose for my engine. My engine is a Rotax 914, burning aprox 20l in cruise. I am a bit confused by the Jet sizes and the flow ranges. Is there anybody who can give any advice on the correct jet size for a rotax 914? Thank...

iEFIS pulse signal as alarm input
I am preparing the installation of MGL avionics and had the idea to connect some alarm signals as analog inputs so that they will be displayed at the screen with a good name/description and drive an external alarm led. One of the things I planned to connect is my Rotax 914 TCU warning + error wires....

Canbus wire shielding and groud loops
Hi, I am not sure what is recommended or best practice for canbus wire. The iBox manual warns for ground loops when using shielded cable and when it's connected to any other ground point in the aircraft. The V16 manual states that preferably a shielded twisted pair cable is used for can bus. What is...
