Re: MGL Current Sensor
Okay, here's what I did. Used the MGL current sensor on an 8 AWG wire from the alternator. I used a gain of 525 for the sensor to get the volts equal to 0, or the current load when hooked to a digital voltmeter. I also plugged the wires into the RDAC XF, - the black (GND) to the top GND, Green to th...

MGL Current Sensor
Okay, I've read the installation manual a couple of times, and need to "calibrate" my sensor. I will be putting this on the alternator line (probably 10/12 AWG) How do I set the gain and zero current points? Is it as simple as putting a multimeter across the sensor and having amps or volts selected?...

Amp reading
I have an Explorer Lite and a comm extender and the amp reading doesn’t change when activating the air brake or nose gear. Engine is running or not. What should I look for?

Re: RDAC Issue
Ended up being an intake air induction tube gasket failure. Replaced the gasket and all is well with all probes indicating correctly.

Re: Odd EFIS problem
Went back to EFIS v 1.1.1.0 and all problems went away: good GPS position, good GPS ground speed, and no reboots. Flight Ops version 1.0.0.4

RDAC Issue
Odd problem here: All EGTs and CHTs were working fine in flight, on the ground, etc., then I came in for some gas, so I shut the engine down. When I started back up, the #2 cylinder EGT and CHT were not showing an indication. Odd that only the #2 cylinder (EGT & CHT) wasn't working after an engine s...

Re: Odd EFIS problem
Update #2: reloaded 1.1.2.1 and had multiple reboots in flight and no GPS fix, therefore no GPS derived GS. IAS and TAS were okay, just no GS. Back to version 1.1.1.0 which seemed to work just fine. Check it on the next flight.

Re: Odd EFIS problem
Preliminary update: loaded 1.1.1.0 and had no problems - no reboots, good GPS and good ground speed (GPS derived). I think I'll reload 1.1.2.1 and see if I have the same problems as I initially had. I'll update as soon as I reload 1.1.2.1.

Re: Odd EFIS problem
Thanks Rainier. I'll probably load 1.1.1.0 since that what was loaded from the repair facility in Torrence, CA. I'll give you an update when I get it loaded and flown.
