Re: iEFIS Explorer Lite

This forms part of the actual pressure sensor so you likely have to replace the part. It is a type MP3V5010DP from NXP. You can get it from Digikey or similar. Note that you need to drill a small hole into the bottom of the sender (use the old one as example). Do not drill too deep - just through th...

Re: CAN-based switches

These keyboards do not understand the CAN protocol used by the ECB. They seem to be made for some other purpose. CAN protocol is like an alphabet. You have several different kinds but even if you can agree two devices on using the same alphabet they will speak different languages. So the ECB talkes ...

Re: SP7 leveling off in turn

Basically what you need to achieve - the SP-7 must move and rotate exactly as your aircraft's frame does. Any movement however tiny that differs between the two immediately creates a measurement error as these tiny relative movements tend to be much faster than the gyros and accelerometers can resol...

Re: Enigma error messages

The whisker you found may have lead to damage - that's my best guess. In such a case the only real option would be to scope the address and data lines to see if any of these are not toggling or are in an illegal state (i.e. not zero or 3V but something else). It's probably not feasible to repair giv...

Re: Raster Map on IefisChallenger Simulator

copy your *.map files into the MAPS folder of your current project. Then use the GPS simulator to enter a valid position (withing the maps region) and set the position as "valid" (checkbox). On any screen that has a map - tap in the map area and then from the menu buttons select "raster" as map sour...

Re: SP7 leveling off in turn

Your SP-7 should be getting velocity information from the EFIS. It uses GPS ground speed or true airspeed (the latter is preferred as ground speed is "contaminated" by wind) - if none of that is available the SP-7 will assume a velocity. The SP-7 uses the velocity to work out centrifugal forces acti...

Re: MX1 bad data copied to SDcard

This is the contents of the internal flash memory if nothing has ever recorded. Please note that your flight data recording is only active if the EFIS has detected a valid start of flight or you start a flight manually and end it manually in the action menu if you never configured the EFIS for autom...

Re: Type of temperature sender for VDO?

We tend to show the sender measurement before reaching 50 degrees.
These senders are only really somewhat accurate around their designed operating temperatures and outside that range they become somewhat random as far as readings go. But they are generally OK from about 20 degrees C ambient upwards.

Re: Noise with led floodlights.

Unfortunately many cheap LED lights radiate a lot of wideband noise. They use high frequency switch mode supplies to supply a constant current to the LEDs or step up the voltage to supply LED strings. Filtering is often poor or even non-existent. Usually the radiation is via the supply wires. If the...

Re: IEFIS Chalenger audio

Effectively this has been moved to the individual item - for example if you want alarms for oil pressure you go to the oil pressure setup menu and you will then find a setting what to do in case of alarm including audio. There is no need to select the phrases as we did with the old systems. The idea...
