Re: Virtual ILS approach

It's largely automated. You would select the desired runway and go via intercept. For all of this to work you must ensure that the intercept point is well below the glide slope as the AP will refuse to dive onto the glideslope. So make sure the intercept point is a realistic distance from the thresh...

Re: K-Factor Fuel Flow

That is a good orientation but I would raise the sender outlet a bit to make sure no vapor can get trapped. This orientation is great as it results in the sapphire spindle resting in one of the sapphire cups on its tip - resulting in an extremely small contact area and near zero friction. In this mo...

Re: RPM Pulse from Jab 3300 Ignition Coil & Hall Effect

You can use anything that produces a clean pulse with a minimum of 1V peak to peak - if you use a hall effect sensor - most of them are open drain drivers so they can switch to ground or are "floating" - this means you need a pullup resistor - perhaps to 5V or 12V (check data sheet of the sensor how...

Re: Odyssey Garmin GPS 175 Integration

Use the internal navigation as source for your AP - even if it originates from the Garmin, i.e. the Garmin sets your HSI and the AP follows that. Don't bother with label 121 pass through - that assumes you have a ARINC bases AP connected (in this case the horizontal and vertical steering commands fr...

Re: K-Factor Fuel Flow

Yes the rise times in that pic are much better. The main problem with flexible fuel lines and pulsed pressure pumps is much more simple: The pump forces fuel through the sender into flexible tubes downstream - typically not all of that goes to its destination so on the pumps downstroke some fuel sim...

With ADSB Out capability? :D
Yes of course.

It is actually a multi-mode transponder. You tell it how it must work. From a full feature mode-s level 2 els down to a simple mode-A/C and a few variations in-between.

Re: Lithium battery charging

Most lithium batteries made for 12V systems like motorcycles, generators etc include a charge controller built in - in a way that makes them compatible with normal lead acid battery chargers. The wisdom of using these in an aircraft may however be a different thing - images of a certain Boeing 787 d...
