Re: T16 update
So Rainier, after a lengthy work-related hiatus from building my helicopter, I'm back at it. During my hiatus I see that you've made progress on both a Mode-S transponder, and a ADS-B/in receiver - the final pieces to my MGL puzzle. To keep moving on this last stage of the project I'm wondering if ...

Re: Calibration of Challenger Touch Screen
Yes it was - but sadly these touch panels are no longer made. They where mode by Kyocera - they then decided to farm this out to a third party and that worked for a while but then the cadmium coated glass was no longer obtainable and that stopped. So we were forced to go with capacitive screens like...

Yes.
Varies a bit with what year the products where made - we changed to green LEDs some time ago.

Re: Stratux
There is no limit to the amount of traffic it will show typically subject only to a given fixed size of a traffic file it maintains (16 entries). The file is always maintained in sorted by distance order so if required traffic that is furthest away will be removed if there is a new item that is clos...

Re: RPM Pulse from Jab 3300 Ignition Coil & Hall Effect
Is the RDAC-XB, RPM input electrically isolated? The wiring of the "NJK-5002c" sensors to the RDAC, I am guessing it can wired with the Pos+ and Neg - to the aircraft 12 volt bus and the Black wire to the RDAC RPM input without any RDAC ground differential issues? One last question, can Hall Effect...

Re: Calibration of Challenger Touch Screen
Push the rotary control in towards the panel - you will notice a distinct "click".
Newer models have a capacitive touch screen that does not have or need calibration so if you have one of those there will not be any touch screen calibration menu items.

Re: Voyager Backlight Issue
Also if it has not been operating for a few years as you say you should replace the CR2032 battery at the back - that is needed to store the backlight values and state. It might be going into night mode at a very low setting if it is starting up from random memory contents.

Re: Voyager Backlight Issue
I guess opening it up and having a look is the next step - if it is intermittent you can carefully tap around with the plastic back of a small screwdriver and see if you can find a break in a cable or something like that.

Re: AOA tone generator
No sorry - the sim can't play these tones - it is currently only capable of playing back WAV audio files you find in the WAV folder (basically the sounds that are then included in the Sounds.ESD file that goes into the EFIS).

Re: Van's forum and MGL
That's true - it has become pretty expensive (in particular if you have to buy USD with our pathetic local currency) - just for a tiny ad and the right to answer questions.
