Re: Excessive background noise - A10 intercom system.

OK, you added the filters - those don't have any effect on the signal FROM the radio - they only affect what goes to the radio and are only of value during transmit as they block any chance of RF from getting into the V16 via the microphone input. The background noise you hear - we need to establish...

Re: EMS-2 and RDAC XG

Unfortunately it is quite common to see all sorts of equipment using the airframe as convenient ground - after all that's how its done on cars right ? Well, remember when Land Rovers changed to the aluminium clad version (now you had a nice mixture of metals) - these things would corrode before your...

MX1 firmware version 9 available

From our firmware update page at: www.mglavionics.co.za/mx1ups.html This fixes an issue discovered related to tilt compensation of a connected SP-6 compass. The problem caused unstable headings or skipping of several degrees while turning. This was caused by slight differences between the processors...

Re: Fresh V16 install has a beep occurring

You are using an intercom so its normal to have a somewhat unusual mic gain - depends very much on the intercom and most of them allow you to set the level. If yours can do that set it as high as it can go and compensate on the V16 side - make that lower. This way you reduce the sensitivity of the V...

Re: RDAC fuse size

For that combo I'd put in a 2A or 2.5A fuse. I usually choose the slow blow types as the fast ones tend to "wear" and eventually blow even if current has never been exceeded.

Re: EMS-2 and RDAC XG

Ok - I need a little education/confirmation. New to MGL and CANBUS in general. If Anyone can help would be great! The wiring schematic in the EMS-2 manual seems to show a 1200 ohm resister between the CAN LO and HI pins to be added to the DB connectors on both ends of the twisted pair cable between...

Re: Issue with Voyager EFIS GPS.

First very important determination: Does this occur with engine running or not ? If it's fine with the engine off - your ignition system is interfering (it can create harmonics all the way to the 1.5Ghz the GPS signal is transmitted on). Look for "elms fires" Run the engine at night in the dark with...

Re: Flight Recording in EFIS

You have two choices: Manual or automatic flight detect. Look at your flight timer - if it is flashing you are in an active flight and recording happens. Manual flight detect: Action menu has the first entry to start or stop a flight. If you have automatic flight detection setup then this entry does...

Re: Loss of airspace rings on Enigma

On the Enigma your Navidata file that contains this information is located on the external SD card. Make sure it is inserted and in fact has that file on.
When you insert the SD card you should get a message with a blue background saying "SD card mounted".
