Re: Two transceivers, one antenna
The transmitter of one of the radios will blow the receiver on the other radio to high heaven instantly regardless of if switched on or not.

Re: V6 Power Supply Issue
Sadly South West electronics does not do customer support.
I cannot see that this a radio issue though - it would be most unusual. There must be something else.

During this time I will frequent this forum as usual but depending on internet accessibility at my holiday location response may be delayed. Our usual e-mail support remains active but fo...

Re: V6 Power Supply Issue
I think you have a very fundamental issue your volt meter should be able to tell you easily. The V6 radio is not made or distributed by us anymore - we broke tries with the manufacturer South West electronics more than three years ago due to supply and support issues. We then developed the V16 which...

You have mounted the antenna on a piece of metal to act as ground plane ?
This is required - if this is not done the antenna is much less effective and not a match - that causes the cable to go "live" and it becomes part of the antenna.

Re: ASX-2 AIRSPEED READS WHEN DOING RUN UP
What about your static port ? The ASI bases its measurements on the difference between the pressure on the static port and your pitot port. If your static is vented internally (i.e. no "real" static port) be aware that your prop blast can pressurise or depressurise your cabin depending on how airflo...

Re: Two transceivers, one antenna
You would need a fast coaxial relay that can handle the power and not have too much insertion loss. However in the case of the V16 it typically pushes 12W into a 50 ohm load - and that's without any modulation. Peak can easily reach 30W or more. You would need, in addition a pin diode limiter at the...

Re: Excessive background noise - A10 intercom system.
If your microphone is not switching off (like in completely off) you have not adjusted your VOX level. Please adjust your VOX level so the microphone switches off when you are not talking into it. If you find you cannot achieve that even with maximum VOX level setting it simply means your microphone...

Have a look at the Enigma/Odyssey user and installation manual on our website - it shows what the various colors do.
