Re: V16 with razor new installation FRUSTRATION
Serious audio noise issues as reported here are not fixed by fiddling with settings. Please have a good look at your audio headset/microphone wiring with reference to the manual and ensure you wire it exactly as prescribed. If you have power supply noise affecting your radio - you have a VERY poor p...

Re: Help with interface board for RDAC X-B
The LED will flash at 1Hz when the CPU is running. If you have supply voltage at the CPU, the reset line is logical high, I'd be pretty sure that CPU is history - if you can find a replacement (make sure it is exactly the same) contact me privately and I'll send you the binary to flash to the CPU. Y...

Re: Firmware Update Failure G2 iEFIS
It seems you are trying to install firmware to a device - not updating the EFIS. To update the EFIS you merely copy the file (EXP2.BIN) for a G2 iEFIS to the root folder of the SD card, insert and switch on. If the EFIS is happy with your file the update happens automatically and you will see messag...

Re: mgl discovery lite and rdac xf
Your RDAC should show a double flash every second - if it is a single flash it confirms what your EFIS is telling you - there is no data communication between the two. How did you wire your resistors and CAN bus and what are the resistor values ?

Re: V16 with razor new installation FRUSTRATION
From your description I must assume that your audio wiring to your headset (sockets) is highly suspect - did you insulate your headset and microphone sockets from your panel or mounting location (if metal) ? Did you use shielded wiring as shown in the diagrams and are the shields NOT used as signal ...

Re: T16 Transponder
The T16 provides an input for a squat switch (switch to ground - closed when on the ground). You can also do this via iBOX or iEFIS Extender (and then choose the selected input as squat switch) but I would assume in the T16 case you would simply wire the switch into the T16. Note: Transponder checks...

Re: MGL V6 frequency stability problem
Sadly I do not have the circuit diagram of the V6 - while it was based on a early prototype radio I designed around 2004 but never put into production it has changed a bit. The design was taken over by another company that then created the V10 and later the V6 and we sold it as a MGL radio for a whi...

Re: T16 Transponder
It's a fully featured transponder - at minimum and if used with our EFIS systems you need the CAN bus and power/ground. That's it. It will in this case use the EFIS GPS for the ADS-B out (or the SP-12 GPS if one is connected). In other words - it's the same as if you were to use the Trig with our li...

Re: T16 Transponder
Well, in the meantime I have managed to get some certainty around the certification issue. Transponders designed to TSO-C112F do not need to be formally certified is installed in experimentals or similar or can be fitted via the STC route in other aircraft. It's actually the same as for the VHF tran...
