Re: Edit contents of a DFile.bin file
OK that dfile.bin - where does it come from ? Has this been created by somebody and you want to extract ? If yes - use the simulator/screen designer. Place file in screens folder of active project - after restart it will use the dfile instead of it's own built in screens (including all possible sele...

Re: Virtual ILS approach
If you are seeing a blue line moving left/right - that's coming from your NAVCOM and is the localizer. A horizontal blue line that goes up/down is the glide slope - it shows automatically if your NAVCOM sends it. You can't disable it in the EFIS. The same info is also shown in your NAV status bar wh...

Re: Challenger & Transponder
Morning All, newbie here from UK. We have a KFA Safari with Challenger 10.4 and would like a transponder solution on the a/c. Looking at the MGL website, is the best option a Trig TT21(we don’t need a T22), and the MGL Trig interface? The Trig is widely available over here so would be easy to sourc...

Re: Sid star procedures in efis
No the navidata does not contain this - it could - there is actually provision for it and indeed it can be imported but the efis does not use it. You can however use plates in a variety of ways - PocketFMS is a good source for this if you have a subscription - you can "fly" a plate if it is georefer...

Re: V16 upgrade with iEFIS
I've updated firmware on 2 or 3 bits of MGL hardware via MX1/SD Card, including V16 and had no issues, other than not being able to get the MX1 to 'mount' any SD card other than the one that came with it. Struggling to get advice or guidance on that issue currently. Make sure your SD card reads SDH...

Re: CHALLENGER Lite problem
You don't have any issues. Many of the resistive type sensors will only display once a minimum temperature is reached - below which they will show "0". Your airspeed sensor should be zero'd once after installation and then usually once per year. You do this in the system setup menu -> Internal senso...

Re: Screen pressure
there is a setting in your setup menu to adjust screen sensitivity. But this message should not appear if you are not pressing the screen - is your EFIS mount twisted by any chance ? Any twisting of the display will create a large contact on the touch screen which looks like a very high pressure tou...

Re: World.BMP file not in correct format
www.mglavionics.co.za/Terrain/G1World.zip Unzip this to get World.bmp This file needs to be copied into your internal SSD drive Terrain folder. There is also a function in the install tasks menu to copy the file for you. This file is a image of the entire World in high resolution - it is used as map...

Re: Odyssey G2 system - slip-skid display not changing
You have not by any chance switched your EFIS by accident to use the GPS as AHRS source ? You do that in the 3D setup menu. If this is the case it can compute bank and pitch angles quite well from your flight path in three dimensions but cannot do the same for your slip indicator - there is no subst...
Re: Avioguard
Just read what I wrote above - just make provision so startup does not look like a short circuit. The Avioguard is not specifically designed for a purpose - it's a universal "power recreator". Place a 0.5 ohm resistor (2 Watts is fine) into the supply line to every user you have connected. This will...
