Re: EFIS turns off while starting the engine.

If you want to keep your EFIS on during engine cranking you need a backup supply.
It will not restart of power supply conditions cause the brownout protection to trip in the EFIS - that requires a power cycle to reset.

Re: V16 VOX disabled

You have setup your radio for a hot microphone (the V16 is expecting a switch to turn the microphone on or off).

Re: CHT Accuracy

That sounds very much like you are using K-Type probes but have selected J-Type probes.

Re: enigma repair

These card connectors can be obtained from places such as digikey and are easy to replace on the Enigma. Any place that can repair things like mobile phones or other electronic devices should be able to do this. Note that the connector is located on a vertical PCB and this PCB is soldered onto the m...

Re: Enigma parts

Your biggest issue are the pressure sensors - these have been discontinued many years ago. It's a type MPX12DP last made by NXP. There is no compatible replacement available as far as I know. Our own stocks of spares have been exhausted unfortunately. The last ones we had we used a few months ago fo...

Re: iEFIS Discovery Lite temporarily unavailable

The complete batch is lined up for assembly of the sub modules - we are waiting for a slot to open up in our production facility so this can proceed. Essentially what needs to be done is pressure senders need to be soldered into the otherwise fully populated PCB's and the PCB's need to be assembled ...

Re: iEFIS Explorer Lite

This forms part of the actual pressure sensor so you likely have to replace the part. It is a type MP3V5010DP from NXP. You can get it from Digikey or similar. Note that you need to drill a small hole into the bottom of the sender (use the old one as example). Do not drill too deep - just through th...

Re: CAN-based switches

These keyboards do not understand the CAN protocol used by the ECB. They seem to be made for some other purpose. CAN protocol is like an alphabet. You have several different kinds but even if you can agree two devices on using the same alphabet they will speak different languages. So the ECB talkes ...

Re: SP7 leveling off in turn

Basically what you need to achieve - the SP-7 must move and rotate exactly as your aircraft's frame does. Any movement however tiny that differs between the two immediately creates a measurement error as these tiny relative movements tend to be much faster than the gyros and accelerometers can resol...

Re: Enigma error messages

The whisker you found may have lead to damage - that's my best guess. In such a case the only real option would be to scope the address and data lines to see if any of these are not toggling or are in an illegal state (i.e. not zero or 3V but something else). It's probably not feasible to repair giv...
