TC11 and TC12 do not work on RDAC XF

Hi, I've installed an RDAC XF with 6 EGT and 6 CHT sensors. The EGT's work fine and also the 4 CHT's. But 5 and 6 (TC11 and TC12, who are on the other side of the RDAC) don't work. I switched with other TC to chegk if the sensors are ok and they are. What can be the reason TC11 and TC12 don't work? ...

XTreme EMS to RDAC-XF via RS-232

Hi, I have a RDAC-ULP connected via CANBUS to an MGL XTreme EFIS (that works OK) The EMS (also connected to the CANBUS) also shows the ECU values OK. However if I connect the RDAC XF to the CANBUS (address 1, RDAC-ULP is on ADDRESS 2 other way around does not work), It interferes with the RDAC-ULP (...

xTreme EMS 'glitching'

Hi, I have a ULPower 520iSA engine on an RV-7 and the ECU is connected with an RDAC ULP through the CANBUS with an xTreme EFIS and xTreme EMS of MGL. I also have a SP-6 and SP-7 connected to the CANBUS and an RDAC XF with the CHT and EGT TC's. There are 2 issues (left) with my MGL xTreme EMS, when t...

Re: RDAC XF and RDAC ULP

Hi Rainier, If I understand you correctly, to use both RDAG ULP and RDAC XF on XTreme EFIS and EMS, I have to do the following: - Set RDAC ULP to (CAN) address 2 (switch 1 and 3 on, what about vwitch 6?) - Set RDAC XF to (CAN) address 1 (switch 1 and 2 off) - Connect RDAC ULP and RDAC XF both via CA...

Re: RDAC XF and RDAC ULP

With version 9.0, you mean 2.03 EFIS Firmware (it has the correct date)?

Could you help me with the address of the RDAC (CAN) number in the Firmware of EFIS and EMS for the different measures, than I can modify the Firmware to set the correct RDAC (CAN) number for each value.

Cheers,

Marcel

Re: RDAC XF and RDAC ULP

Thanks Rainier for the info, that's very helpfull.

I own an MGL Xtreme EFIS and EMS, but the simlator does NOT have a screen design mode.
Is there other software I didn't find yet, to design the screen?

Thanks,

Marcel

RDAC XF and RDAC ULP

Hi,

Does anyone have successfully connected BOTH the RDAC XF and RDAC ULP.
My RDAC XF seemed to work, but now I have the RDAC ULP working and it seems the RDAC XF is not working anymore.
Observation: the led on the RDAC XF seems to flash fast.

Cheers,
Marcel

SOLVED: UL Power engine, ECU and RDAC CAN

At last I have the ULPower ECU talking to the RDAC ULP via CAN BUS. I couldn't get the STM32 Flash loader working on my 64 bit Windows 10 (I don't have a 32 bit machine anymore). However if you check the ST development tools page, it states that the tool is replaced by STM32CubeProgrammer (https://w...

Re: UL Power engine, ECU and RDAC CAN

With the RS232 in place, we should be able to flash the new firmware of the RDAC ULP, however the configuration details of the RS232 communications are not documented. Using the configuration of the RDAC XF does not work. Does anyone have the RS232 com config of the RDAC ULP (baud rate, databits, st...

Re: UL Power engine, ECU and RDAC CAN

Rainier replied to me that: The intention is to connect the ULP RDAC to the engine via CAN. Standard RDACs do have firmware support for the RS232 but the RS232 driver chip is not fitted. Note that we have a firmware update to support the newer ULP engines that changed the CAN baudrate. In most cases...
