It seems that my issue was caused by a dodgy RS232 adaptor. I purchased a new adaptor & the process ran flawlessly.

G'day I attempted to update my info-1 firmware this morning. Everything seemed to be going ok until at the 49% mark when it returned an "error while programming ".
