Re: V16 radio intercom volume
It sounds like you want to add a change-over switch to connect the P2 headset phones to a separate source input (iPhone headphone output etc). As Rainier says, disconnecting one headset's phones from the V16 audio output will make no difference to the volume levels due to the low impedance of the ...

Re: Recording audio from V16 and intercomm
Since no one is responding to your post, I'll chime in.
The only audio out from a V16 is the headset drive on pins 1&2. This drives both headsets.
Assuming you have dual plug comms, you could make an 'intercept cable' with a male-female 1/4" jack pair and tap off to a suitable connector for your ...

Re: V16 with razor new installation FRUSTRATION
Try significantly reducing the mic gains on both P1/P2. -12dB might be a good starting point.

Re: V16 isolated jacks for mic and heaadphone
Yes. The principle is that if you also ground the jack socket, say, to the airframe, you will create a ground loop which can cause many issues.

Re: V16 Transmit Quality
Have you adjusted the microphone gains for your headset(s).
I found that it needed significant attenuation of -12dB or more for A20 and Zulu 2.
Without doing that receivers will hear significant compression/limiting and possibly distortion.
