MX1 SD card formatting

Hello All. I have had no luck getting my MX1 to mount any SD card other than the one that came with the EFIS. I have simply formatted other cards as FAT/FAT16 using a couple of PC options yet I always get a failed-to-mount message on the MX1. Is there a specific format/procedure that I should be usi...

Re: V16 high VSWR

For a VSWR so bad, one would expect a cable fault. I assume that you've checked for short circuit between signal and screen conductors, and open circuit faults too?
Are you adapting from one cable type to another? Or in other words, how are you adapting from SMA to BNC?

Re: MGL auto pilot

They are serial data ports so any servo would need to be RS232 equipped. What type of servo are you connecting??

Re: Sidetone echo

Can I suggest that you check that your microphone gain is set appropriately. I was surprised by how much attenuation I needed on my V16 to get the audio paths stable. There's a procedure (in the manual I believe) about matching the sidetone volume of your voice to the comms volume. If your own voice...

Re: v6 Transmit problems on certain frequencies

I have a V16. I don't know whether the gain structure and processing is the same as a V6, but this may help. By default, the microphone input gains were way too high for both A20 and David Clark and the comms were almost unuseable. Currently, my input gains are -4.75dB and I feel that I can certainl...

Re: Pitot/static ports

Thanks for the response...
I'll have to try again, but I know that the tubing itself was airtight. It could only be the union of pipe-to-port or the port itself, but the pipe did seem to fit tightly to the port stem.
I'll try some softer silicone tube....

Pitot/static ports

Does anyone know if the pitot and static ports on EFIS's (any model) are airtight? Sounds like a stupid question but I was using a U-gauge manometer to check the accuracy of a steam gauge ASI and found that it leaked pressure. I then tried the same test and found that all the ports on an MX1 leaked ...

ECB power-up problem

I have an MGL ECB (linked to MX1) controlling most of my electrical equipment and have a query about operation on boot up. I've installed toggle switches with bi-colour LEDs for all 8 switching channels. Everything seems fine except for 2 behavioural issues: 1. If any switches are set to 'ON' within...

Re: Trig interface LED error status

...perhaps I should have said 'don't all shout at once'...

A firmware update on the MGL/Trig interface seems to have resolved this, just in case anyone else suffers the same.
Many thanks to Paul at parts4aircraft for pointing me to this.

Re: Help with Screen Creation MX1

You appear to have hijacked an unrelated thread not relavant to your issue.
Assumiung that "eephus" means EFIS, have you enabled the equipment/devices in the system setup menu?
Red crosses will appear in icons/windows of devices that are not eneabled even if connected and powered correctly.
