Re: IEFIS Simulatior
Ok, I've tried again. My conclusion is that it simply does not work. I'd like to think that @Rainier will step in and explain. No matter what I change in fuel setup calibration and RDAC sim. slider position, the simulated fuel level is stuck at 45 (of 60 litres). This applies to both an analogue gau...

Re: IEFIS Simulatior
I have an MX1 but assume it's a similar process: Calibration values need to be set for various levels of fuel within the EFIS menu, so likewise in the simulated version. The values are raw data numbers from the A/D conversion on the fuel level inputs. It's not clear what the value units are in terms...

RDAC Oil/coolant temperature inputs using VDO senders
Would anyone happen to know how accurate RDACs are when using the VDO NTC thermistor type temperature senders that are usually found on Rotax engines for oil/coolant T? (50-150°C 323-19 Ohm)
They are not linear in their Temp/Resistance curve and I'm wondering if compensation is done by RDAC or EFIS.

Re: V16 with 2 issues
Have you disabled the aux audio input from the EFIS to determine whether that's the source of noise? I tried running an MX1 audio into a V16 aux and it was massively noisy. Re. comm mic quality. What mic gain did you arrive at for A20? I was surprised at the degree of attenuation needed; something l...

Re: EFIS Challenger Lite - Audio signal
I agree with @sparxfly. The diagram above is not an attenuator as intended. The 10k should be on the MX1 output before the 1k load resistor. Also, it is best to place this as close to the V16 input as possible (within the connector plug) so as to also attenuate any induced cable noise.

Re: MX1 trouble with AHRS.
I have this issue too. I find that the MX1 often shows me not being level when I am. I have an SP6 compass fitted to and wondered if that was somehow introducing error since the compass heading takes a little while to be near accurate. I've ignored this so far but it's something I need to resolve ot...

Re: Major V16/A16 update
I have a V16 controlled by an MX1 but no A16. Is there any gain/advantage for me in this update?

Re: V16 upgrade with iEFIS
I've updated firmware on 2 or 3 bits of MGL hardware via MX1/SD Card, including V16 and had no issues, other than not being able to get the MX1 to 'mount' any SD card other than the one that came with it. Struggling to get advice or guidance on that issue currently.

Re: MX1 SD card formatting
I'm wondering if it's card speed rather than format. The error message is non-specific....
