Is it OK to calibrate at 12.8V or should it be at running voltage ?

My plane is a single seat aircraft. I have not installed an audio panel , just a com radio. Can I connect the audio out from the EFIS directly tp the headset jack or do I need a volume control for the output ?

I'm in Brockville on. I just bought an EFIS Lite . It was shipped with Southern Canada maps but no airport info. Let me know if you were able to get the data for southern Canada .
