Re: Tach, hobbs, maint

The HOBBS timer is the actual Engine running time. It emulates an Electric HOBBS Clock. Set the HOBBS Minimum RPM to half your idle speed to time whenever the engine is running. The TACH Timer Speed varies in Proportion to the Engine RPM. It emulates Old-School Tachometer timers that displayed Total...

Re: Odyssey backup battery

Fuses exist to protect the wiring. Not the device. Assuming you power the EFIS and RDAC with 18 AWG wire. 18AWG is rated at 10 amps at 60°C. A 5.0 amp fuse would be more than sufficient in this situation. The EFIS to RDAC wire would not necessarily need an additional fuse. But if you insisted, anoth...

Re: Fuel Level Alarm - Missing Enables

I just upgraded my G3 Firmware to v.1.1.2.1 hoping maybe it would help. No Such Luck. Can anyone running G3 software on any iefis lite confirm that the Low Fuel Alarm works? I am not asking if the Bargraph turns RED on low fuel. I am asking if the Alarm Field above the Bargraph also turns RED and th...

Re: Inflight transponder squawk change

On the 8-inch and larger iefis models, the 12 Physical Buttons on the bottom can be used to enter numbers when the Xpndr or Radio is selected. The Discover Lite does not have those buttons but it does have 8 equivalent Virtual Buttons that normally display AP, NAV, CHECK, MAP, ETC. along the Left ed...

Re: Inflight transponder squawk change

Do your Big Buttons at the Side of your display become 0-7, Etc.
You may also get a similar set of buttons when operating the Radio.
A much easier target for our fat-shaky fingers.

Re: Fuel Level Alarm - Missing Enables

Thanks, Jim, That actually helps. It is not so much that you have a Voyager vs. my Explorer, as much as you are running G2 vs. my G3 firmware. I have discovered that along with the Fuel Level Alarm not working, the Fuel Flow Alarm also does not work, while the Fuel Pressure Alarm Works just fine. Co...

Re: Fuel Level Alarm

Can anyone confirm that an ALARM FIELD attached to FUEL LEVEL1, RDAC 1 ALARM operates in their iEFIS as expected?
I need to know if there is a system problem or if it is just that I have it configured incorrectly.
I have tried deleting and rebuilding the Alarm to no avail.
Thanks, Bill.
