XTreme EMS NMEA Data Baud Rate

What baud rate of GPS NMEA data sentences is compatible with the XTreme EMS for it to calculate my fuel range?

You can select XTreme NMEA baud rate in the setup menu.

I found the adjustable baud rate in the GPS setup menu - Thanks! I have a Hugerock X7 Android tablet that runs iFly EFB. I was attempting to transmit the GPS sentences data from the tablet via bluetooth to a Sena Parani SD-1000 BT-to-Serial adapter. I couldn't get it to work despite matching the baud rate, data format, etc. The MGL manual says the XTreme EMS needs GPRMC, GPGGA, GPGSA, and GPGSV sentences. and I consulted iFly EFB tech support and it appears only 2 of the GPS sentences are being transmitted from the table: GPRMC and GPGGA. They commented it was unusual for a fuel computer to need more than those two sentences and commented that most Android tablets can't transmit the missing two.

I don't suppose there is any work-around from the MGL XTreme EMS side of things?

You need all the gp messages listed in the manual if you want the satellite position in the skyview and signal quality to be displayed on the GPS page. The GPRMC and GPGGA will be fine if you just want fuel range.

Just make sure you are using com port 2 to connect to your gps data source.

Thanks for the quick response, Franz! I just want the fuel range computed. My previous iFly 740 GPS was connected via a USB to serial cable to a DB9 connector cable that goes to the XTreme EMS. The Android tablet is communicating via bluetooth to a Sena Parani SD-1000 bluetooth to serial adapter that is plugged into the same DB9 connector as the previous cable. Since the fuel range worked previously with the serial cable, can I assume I'm still on comm 2 port or is there someway to verify that?
