My XTreme EMS is v2.01 and as far as I can tell, has always worked great and continues to do so! I carefully calibrated my fuel tank senders, solid-state oil pressure sensor, etc. and get extremely (pun intended!) accurate indications. I notice that there have been several firmware updates since 2.01, and wonder if it is really a good idea or not to update to a more current version. The reason I say this is that I see no "bugs", the unit works great, and it appears a great deal of the updates appear to deal with Rotax and UL Power functionality. (I have a Jabiru 3300.) If I understand the update instructions for updating to the most-current version, this would be a "major update" and require manually re-entering all my settings - or in other words, I can't simply save them to the SD card and then restore them after the update? I really hate to tamper with the settings since they seem to be so accurate now!
Am I correct about having to re-enter all my settings?
If things are going well now with 2.01 and since I'm not a Rotax/UL Power user, is there any reason to even consider updating?
Thanks,
John
