Bugs in MX1
I had to find a new bug in MX1. A short while ago I installed an Extender via Serial Port. It works fine or at least it looked like. But with the Extender activated in the Equipment list, GPS was faulty. First, there was no ground speed data. It worsened with no correct GPS position. A fix was repor...

Re: Explorer lite
check the AHRS for working data, especially gyro data. I once had a Discovery lite with defective Gyro, the horizon was slow but seemed to be in working condition, but it was only the acceleration and slip indicator to give a look a like working horizon. If the gyro is down, replacement of the chip ...

Re: Chalenger Horizon
I saw the same, when the QNH was wrong and it showed the view from "under the terrain".
I am just surprised, it shows 59ft AGL.
Anyways, I would change QNH to verify you are above ground.

Re: G4 is shipping and updates on the project
any manual available?
And the simulator would be nice to see if an upgrade from MX1 is of interest

Re: CAN Protocol for Radio
thanks for the hint to the radio manual, was looking for the can protocol document only.
But it does not work. Sending ID 0x440 messages 0, 1 and 2 with some status data, but the radio on the screen stays crossed out in red.
The same as transponder, can't get this to work either.

CAN Protocol for Radio
I am setting up some CAN interfaces for all devices in my plane. A connector for Rotax 914 TCU data is working just fine for a while now. Now there is an interface for my transponder in the making, which will be connecting to an air control display, controlling a VT01 Transponder and an Aircom Radio...

Re: A few MX1 quirks
There is a calibration for the VSI in the "Internal sensor setup menu". It should be quite accurate if this is set to 100%. If you set it to 50% for example it will halve the rate shown. This still does not have any impact to the VSI. VSI is about factor 2 to high. VSI in TE or not, factor changed ...
