Re: Explorer Lite artificial horizon wandering
Thanks for the ideas. I've tried everything i can think of (just reset the Gyro Bias again) but I still get the same issue. Is there a way to check the internal battery without removing the screen? Wish I could figure out what is wrong with the internal AHRS, not really wanting to purchase external ...

Explorer Lite artificial horizon wandering
I have had the Explorer Lite in an aircraft for 320hrs and 5 years now. I initially had trouble with it randomly failing to boot up, and crashing during use. I removed all excess files, maps etc and designed a very basic screen, now boot up seems stable. It doesn't like being powered on during engin...

Inaccurate EGT readings
I have an Explorer lite with an RDAC XG running four Swift EGT probes on a Jabiru 2200. All four probes display between 400-520 degree C during a normal flight. This seems exceptionally cold! The engine runs beautifully, plugs are a lovely tan colour etc so I believe the problem is not the engine. I...

Deep scratch on my Explorer Lite
I was working behind my panel one day, tidying up some cables and checking everything was OK, when I refitted the panel I had that heart sinking realisation that the screen of the Explorer Lite had been resting on the top of my control stick.....many expletives ensued.... Question is...can I do anyt...
