Signing Out
I have been using MGL avionics for I think at least 15 years and generally everything has been good; I must congratulate Rainier for his efforts over the years and putting up with my software glitches. However instead of upgrading to G4 I have decided to spend my bitcoin profits on moving over to an...

Re: Virtual ILS approach
Just to close this from my point of view. Rainier was in the middle of June able to recreate the problem. "OK forget whatever I wrote. I finally got a chance to do some flying. It is the missed approach - it's got a problem. The RPM comparison is the wrong way around - it does a missed approach if R...

Re: Hold function
Any progress on the Hold function inability to Cancel on the 'Active Waypoint' Status. Asked the other day to Hold and later when instructed to resume my own navigation the Hold Active Waypoint Status would not Cancel. In desperation selected a GoTo a nearest Airport, did not replace the Hold positi...

Re: Hold function
Apologies, slow response from me. Rainier, intercept is always from below the glide slope. Glide slope is set as standard at 3 degrees. The a/p bombs out because the Active Waypoint bombs out.

Hold function
Firstly remarkably this works really well with the autopilot and will take you around a hold relentlessly. However when you cancel the hold the Active Waypoint display continues to give you information relative to the hold and the HSI doesn't cancel either. On an old topic that has now been ignored ...

Re: iefis explorer issues
I had a not too dissimilar problem with ridiculous high oil pressure which in the end was a capacitance fuel sensor shorting internally when the tank was full. Somehow it was causing an effect on the RDAC box. So I would disconnect all your sensors connected to the RDAC in turn. If disconnecting one...

Re: GPS Xed out
I have an Explorer and a Discovery Lite, with the Explorer being the Master. I have had problems with GPS as well and sent Rainier screen shots similar to these posted here. Initial suggestion was the two GPS aerials should not be close. However significantly separating them did not resolve the prob...

Re: Autopilot Track accuracy
I have an Explorer G3 and it consistently flies slightly right of track Upto ½ mile, has always done so. Have mentioned on a few occasions previously. Don't use for an IFR approach!
