On this page you will find free databases for Enigma compatible EFIS instruments. Airspace data, World vector maps, and Terrain data.

This data may have been compiled from untraceable sources and is included without assumptions of fitness for any purpose. All data should be treated with circumspection and verified with independent sources before acceptance and use.

Airspace vector files

Please note: The airspace vector files are no longer in use as airspaces are included in the Navidata files. They are available here as they can be imported into the MGL Central flight planning tool if you would like to use this as base to add/edit your own airspace data. Note that this data is derived mainly from DAFIF puplications and is now likely to be quite outdated (DAFIF no longer makes airspace data available to the public).

Entire world airspace file in tiled format. This file contains the entire World from N90,W180 to S90,E180. The installed file is about 30MBytes in size and can only be installed onto your Enigma SD card.

World vector base map files

The base map vector files contain the following data items: Urban areas, primary and secondary roads, rivers, railway lines, coastal lines, power lines, towns and places, inland water bodies, borders.
This data, in conjunction with terrain data which forms the bases of a topographical map serves as foundation for your Enigma vector maps.

Northern America vector base map. N90,W180 to N20,W025 Appoximately 35MBytes.

World terrain data (GTOPO30 DEM files)

These files will install DEM files for a region. DEM files are large and give an approximate 1 square KM grid resolution. Data is based on various sources, mainly based on survey.
This data will be used by your instruments 3D look ahead terrain system, terrain proximity warning and in case of vector maps, it will be used to create a topographical backdrop to your map viewer.

The download files are self-extracting archives. Execute them on your PC and select a target folder. The DEM files contained in the archive will be extracted and saved to your target folder.
 
Enigma: Copy the DEM files to cover your region onto your SD card.
Odyssey, Voyager, Explorer: Copy the files to your SD card and use the "Install terrain data" from your Install menu to transfer the files to your instruments "Terrain" folder.

Enigma simulator: Copy DEM files to your MMC folder.
Odyssey, Voyager, Explorer: Copy the DEM files to the Terrain folder of your current project.

World terrain file for use by Odyssey and Voyager MKII systems. After download, unzip this file to get a file called "World.bmp". Place this file in the Terrain folder of your Simulators active project or copy from SD card to your EFIS SSD terrain folder using the EFIS file manager (menu level 2).

This file is used for large scale zoom levels as backdrop to the moving map.

All data contained in these files originates from sources that are or have been placed in the public domain, possibly violating copyright inadvertantly.

If you are owner of this data and can prove such ownership beyond reasonable doubt to us and you further feel that your airspace information should not be made available to pilots using such airspace or need to charge airspace users for this data, please inform us with relevant details and we will remove this data from our database.
